The choir evening was a really great way to get to know the locals.

Here are some Pictures:

In fishing villages the pub is the heart of the community

Friendships and bonds are cemented

Not the end

This week's project is over but it's not the end. This blog will continue next week when we hope to upload more photos and videos. And more Stargazy short term EVS projects are coming...

Here are some pictures of participants working with Malcolm, and the boats from previous projects still in good condition.

Inspection of the work done by previous Ruckenwind (Tailwind) volunteers

Moving boats is harder than it looks

As we said moving boats ....

At least we are going downhill and we can see water now...

Careful lads we can't scratch the boat - it is over 100 years old! (the boat not Malcolm lol)

Intercultural party

We ended the project with an evening of food and drink from six countries. Everyone relaxed with their old and new-found friends.

A big thank you to all our friends in Millbrook and Kingsand-Cawsand for making us so welcome. None more so than Malcolm (below right) who is the inspiration for the whole project.

Our guest blogger...

Here's Hannah, our guest blogger and enthusiastic participant. Hopefully there will be more news from her in a day or two including some video clips from the project.

Stargazy stories

Participants collected driftwood and other objects from the beach, transformed them into images of imaginary or real people, and then told the story of how their characters lives were changed by Stargazy and Ruckenwind projects. Here are some of the results.

Artistic inspiration

Bill shows us how he changes driftwood and other found objects into beautiful art works.
